National Night Out August 5th - Highland Park!

National Night Out August 5th - Highland Park!

Celebrate National Night Out on August 5th at Highland Park!

National Night Out is celebrated every year on the first Tuesday in August, which falls on August 5th this year. It is a day when citizens, organizations, police departments, and fire departments come together to enhance community relationships and promote neighborhood safety. Residents are encouraged to turn on outside lights and spend the evening with neighbors, participating in events such as block parties, cookouts, and youth activities! Join us at Highland Park from 5:00-7:30PM - Potluck style celebration. Hot-dogs and water will be provided by Mayor Springer & Husband as well as live music by Colin Gage!

If you're interested in hosting a block party or community gathering and would like the police to visit, be sure to reach out to City Hall with your location, time and details by August 1st. Hosting an event is the perfect way to meet your neighbors, enjoy some fun activities, and enhance the sense of unity within our community! National Night Out emphasizes the importance of neighbors getting to know one another and building a strong sense of community to deter crime and promote a safer positive environment for everyone.

Don't miss out on this chance to join the celebration and contribute to a safer, more connected neighborhood. Contact City Hall today and get ready for a night of fun, friendship, and community spirit!
