Festival in the Park

Get ready to mark your calendar, gather your family and friends, and head to Lions Park for an afternoon of music, food, fun and community spirit! The annual Cosmopolis Festival in the Park returns Sunday, August 23, bringing together residents and visitors from throughout Grays Harbor for a day of celebration in the heart of Cosmopolis.

The festival will be held at Lions Park, 621 2nd Street, at 1st & C Street, and will run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This long-standing community tradition continues to grow each year, offering something for everyone — from live music and great food to local vendors, family activities and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends and neighbors.

Live Music & Entertainment

Music will fill the park throughout the afternoon, with Colin Gage taking the stage from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chair, sit back and enjoy the music while taking in everything the festival has to offer.

Cruise-In: Classic Cars Take Center Stage

A special Cruise-In will be featured at this year's festival, with two popular local car clubs — Midnight Cruisers and The Push Rods — rolling into Cosmopolis with an impressive collection of cars.

Festival attendees will have the opportunity to cast their votes in four categories:

1. Best of Show

2. People's Choice

3. Best Paint

4. Best Motor

Come check out the cars, talk with the owners and help choose this year's favorites!

Come Hungry!

There will be plenty of delicious food options available throughout the day. Festival favorites will include Lions Club burgers and brats, Cafecito Vibes & Bites, Buddy Moo's Ice Cream, Elephant Ears, and other tasty treats sure to satisfy every craving.

Shop Local & Support Small Businesses

More than 20 vendors from throughout Grays Harbor and beyond will be on hand offering a wide variety of handmade and locally produced items. Shoppers can browse woodcrafts, jewelry, pottery, soaps and lotions, fresh flowers, baked goods and much more.

The Cosmopolis Elementary PTO will also be at the festival selling cotton candy and goodies while raising funds to support student activities and opportunities. Visitors can also learn more about getting involved with the PTO.

Community Resources & Information

The festival is more than entertainment — it is also an opportunity for residents to connect with organizations and agencies that provide valuable services throughout Grays Harbor.

Informational booths will include organizations such as Timberland Regional Library, Grays Harbor Early Learning Coalition, Emergency Management, Grays Harbor College, and Grays Harbor County representatives providing information and resources for seniors, individuals with disabilities and other community members.

There will be plenty of information, resources and helpful connections available for citizens of all ages.

Family & Kid Corner

The Family & Kid Corner will be a special place for children and families to enjoy free activities throughout the afternoon. Kids can take part in yard games, bubble-making activities, balloon creations and other fun activities.

And for an experience that is sure to bring smiles, the festival will even feature a rescue goat petting area!

Whether you're coming for the cars, staying for the music, shopping with local vendors, enjoying lunch with the family or simply catching up with neighbors, the Cosmopolis Festival in the Park offers a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
