FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Burn Ban Issued for City of Cosmopolis

COSMOPOLIS, WA: Effective 12:01 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2025, with the continued trend of warm and dry weather, the City of Cosmopolis is enacting restrictions on all outdoor burning in the City of Cosmopolis in accordance with City Ordinance 9.120.050 until conditions moderate.

  • Recreational burning is prohibited until further notice.
  • The use of gas/propane self-contained camping stoves and portable gas/propane fire pits are allowed.

These restrictions are for the City of Cosmopolis and do not apply to neighboring cities or fire districts.
