Festivals & Beaches

Ocean Shores

Ocean Shores is a peninsula stuck out into the Pacific Ocean and acts as one side of the bay entrance to Grays Harbor. On the Eastern edge of the Peninsula you find bay waters that are occasionally by-ways to whales of various kinds (mostly Grays). If you like to dream of far off places, you can sit and watch ships from around the world navigate the bay toward the port facilities at Aberdeen and Hoquiam. Anytime of the year, there are opportunities to play. Beachcombing in the winter after the big storm subsides. Digging clams and enjoying the resulting chowders and other recipes in the spring. Flying kites, watching pelicans catch fish and walking the warm sands and enjoying great wine and meals in the summer. The fall provides several music festivals and some of the best sunsets you’ll ever see. Come and enjoy playing in Ocean Shores and the North Beach!
