Chief's Message:

Welcome to the official website of the Cosmopolis Fire Department. It is a privilege and an honor to serve as your Fire Chief. Whether you are a resident, business owner, visitor, or someone interested in joining our department, I am grateful you’ve taken the time to learn more about who we are and the services we provide.

The Cosmopolis Fire Department proudly serves a close-knit community of more than 1,624 residents and a daytime population exceeding 1,900 people. Our dedicated team of 17 volunteer firefighters protects more than ten square miles of residential, commercial, and rural areas. Supported by our Training and Safety Officer and department officers, we provide Basic Life Support emergency medical response, fire suppression, vehicle rescue, and public education.

While emergency response is at the heart of what we do, our mission goes far beyond answering calls. We are committed to building relationships, earning trust, and being a visible and dependable part of the community. I believe the fire department should be a place where people feel welcome, supported, and confident that, when they need us most, we will be there.

As Fire Chief, my vision is to continue strengthening our department through training, teamwork, professionalism, and service. I am committed to supporting our volunteers, investing in their development, and ensuring we are prepared to meet the evolving needs of our community. Together, we will build on the proud traditions of the Cosmopolis Fire Department while embracing new opportunities to improve the services we provide.

Our department maintains an ISO Class 6 fire rating, but what truly defines us is the dedication, compassion, and commitment of the people who wear this badge. Every member of our department volunteers their time to make a difference, and I couldn’t be more proud to serve alongside them.

No previous experience is required—we will provide the training, mentorship, and support you need to succeed.
