Chief's Message:

I want to welcome you to the official web page of the Cosmopolis Fire Department. Our page contains valuable information about our department, our history, and our community. I hope you will take the time to explore the different areas and links.

The Cosmopolis Fire Department has the strength of 17 volunteer firefighters which serve a residential population of more than 1,624 citizens, and a daytime population estimated to be in excess of 1,900 people.

Our fire station provides services to a geographical area of over ten square miles. That service area includes residential, commercial, and rural areas. In addition to our volunteer firefighters our department has a training and safety officer, along with department officers who perform a variety of important roles. Our department provides the following services: Basic life support medical response, fire suppression, vehicle rescue, and public education.

Cosmopolis is a wonderful community in which to live. Our department, which has an ISO fire rating of class 6, and maintains a strong partnership with the community we serve as described by our mission statement.

To accomplish our mission, we need your support and understanding of our operations. Please feel free to visit our station on Sunday from 9am – 12 noon, and talk to us about being a Volunteer Firefighter!
